{audio}http://www.truegospeltabernacle.org/home/mp3/reprise.mp3{/audio} The Rev. Dr. Ernest McNear, a man of God, a man of prayer, a man anointed by God. Rev. Dr. Ernest McNear founded True Gospel Tabernacle Church in 1985, when he answered God's Call to the Pastorate. Being led of the Lord and empowered by the Holy Spirit, he has been steadfast and unmovable in his endeavor to be all that God has called him to be, even while he was employed for sixteen years at Philadelphia Electric Co. (PECO Energy). Aside from the pastorate at True Gospel Tabernacle Church of God In Christ, which is now located at 16th & Mifflin Sts in Philadelphia, he is the Host of True Gospel Time Broadcast, a daily radio program currently heard daily in the Delaware Valley area. He is also the Principal of True Gospel Tabernacle Learning Center, a state licensed pre-school and grade school. As "God's Gospel Saxophonist," he finds the time to preach locally at other churches and to travel across the country and abroad, sharing his Evangelistic Anointing as a preacher and his musical gift to praise God and bless God's people. He is the Chief Adjutant for the COGIC National Orchestra and Administrative Assistant and District Overseer of the Tri-State District, Penn State Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ, where Bishop Harold Benjamin is the presiding prelate. He also serves as the District Overseer of Cape Coast Central District Ghana COGIC, in West Africa, which is comprised of sixty-five churches. He has always pursued excellence in his service to God. He earned a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA . He attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass., and is a graduate of Geneva College at CUTS (Center for Urban Theological Studies), where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree and he is a graduate of Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, where he earned a Master of Divinity Degree. However, Rev. McNear will tell you that the foundation of his strength and faith in Christ is in his home. He is a family man who dearly loves his wife and helpmate, Evangelist Barbara McNear, who works closely with him in the ministry. Their son Minister Vance McNear is a certified special education teacher for the Shcool District of Philadelphia, the director of the True Gospel Tabernacle Learning Center afterschool program and summer camp, and heads the youth ministry at True Gospel Tabernacle. They also have one daughter, Keneysha, and three grand children, Amber, David and Olivia. But most of all, The Reverend Doctor Ernest McNear is a man who Loves God, Loves God's Word and Loves God's People.
